For years, the Aguata-Orumba Women Organization of Southern California (AGORWO) has served as a lifeline for communities both in Nigeria and across the United States, guided by the belief that health is the foundation of life and education is the wings to soar. In Southern California, our annual charity outreach has wrapped its arms around vulnerable women, children, and families, reinforcing our commitment to uplift our diaspora community. In our homeland, Nigeria, we take immense pride in our legacy, having supported 30 health centers across 22 communities. From commissioning the Nawfija Health Center and constructing vital water infrastructure to providing solar power and essential medical equipment, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that physical wellness is a right, not a luxury, for thousands across Aguata‑Orumba.

While we remain dedicated to “Healthier Lives,” we recognize that sustainable change requires a foundation of knowledge. As mothers, sisters, and community builders, we are expanding our mission to meet the urgent educational needs of underserved regions in Nigeria. AGORWO is evolving from infrastructure that heals the body to programs that empower the mind - supporting vocational training, skills development, and educational resources that promote economic mobility and create pathways to self‑reliance for the next generation of Aguata-Orumba.

Through our Legacy of Learning Circle, we invite you to join us in fulfilling this promise of transforming healthy lives into empowered futures. Together, we can build a future where health leads to hope, and every individual has the tools to thrive.
